It’s been a busy start to the school year, so I am just now getting back to posting the rest of the photos.
A Harbor Seal peers from behind kelp, like a young child hiding behind a curtain.
He (or she) played hide and seek for a few moments with us.
On the same dive, we had fun with a Juvenile Sea Lion who moved from diver to diver during our safety stop.
Normally all the divers would be more spread out, but it was so much fun to play with this Sea Lion that we all stayed on the surface and congregated for some time after our dives to enjoy the encounter.
It’s hard to resist taking photos of Spanish Shawl Nudibranchs.
These two Spanish Shawls are mating. Note the pink eggs.
It looks like these two Spanish Shawls are fighting, but really they are mating.
Strawberry Anemones abound on the rocks.
This type of Brittle Star always catches my eye, as its legs look like little snakes.
Many different colors of aggregating anemones are in shallow water.
Sometimes this type of Brittle Star takes over large areas of rocky bottom.
A Scallop grins for the camera.
A Moral Eel rests on a bed of Strawberry Anemones. Barely visible Shrimp wait patiently behind it, hoping for shreds of a meal.
