Hi Welcome to the Van Sciver family blog! This is our first time blogging, so please ignore the formatting inconsistencies and errors. This week long trip to Death Valley started on April 6, 2014. Our group consisted of two families: ours (Jason, Ruth, Ian and Cyrus) and Jason’s parents (Pete and Lotus). We each traveled in a 4WD truck with a camper. This enabled us to go off the beaten path and to explore the more remote areas in the park. Our objectives were to have fun as a family, see new parts of Death Valley, catch lizards, play on the sand dunes, look at wildlife, examine the geology, and of course to take pictures.

Cyrus notices that Ian has been playing with the shrinkomatic again.

A Coyote looks at us, hoping for handouts. He and a buddy were walking along the road. When they saw us they crossed in front of the truck, came around to the side, stopped and looked up at us smiling.
