We headed back into Death Valley and stopped at Furnace Creek to do a few errands. Then it was on to Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes to photograph the evening light and see if any lizards were still out. It was 104 degrees F at Furnace Creek, and only a little cooler at the Dunes. Thankfully the heat subsided as the sun set. The lizards had gone to bed but the views were lovely.
